La Michoacana Reviews

The service was great. Super friendly and responsive. The inside has booths, tables and bar seating. The food was pretty good. My only complaint is tacos should have diced white onions with cilantro. The sautéed yellow onion with cilantro tasted weird. The rice was bland, but mixed with the beans was alright. Also got some fried jalapeños. I would come back, but I would get the tacos without the onions.

The traditional "Meat & Three" has been replaced by neighborhood Mexican cuisine. Such is the case with La Michoacana. Fridays I order Shrimp Fajitas. Otherwise I order the "Special Dinner" that is more than enough food to satisfy most anyone. Fridays and Saturdays are extremely busy. Arrive early to get a parking spot and a seat, or be prepared to wait.

Pretty good today. Went in at opening and had a good time with my wife. Food was hot and fresh. Service was great today! Keep it up

I'm not saying the previous person who said this restaurant isn't clean is a liar. However, his experience was drastically different than any that we've had there. It's not fancy but it's clean. It's not new but it's tidy. They have good service by Hispanic servers. The food is very tasty. I I love the cheese dip to start then put it on my rice or beans if any is leftover. The meat is lean and well prepared. The beans have flavor not bland like some places serve. The food comes out in a short time unless they are slammed by to go orders. It's still a reasonable wait.

Drove past this location while area browsing for relocation purposes. Stopped here with my family for lunch around Jan 2019 and MY OH MY did they have amazing food and great customer service. However if you order for a lunch break, you will not make it back to work. The wait time for food was slow. Food was fresh. Customer service makes up for it but I guess you get what you pay for. Fresh food that's made to order takes a bit longer.

While visiting family in Georgia, Los Michoacana is our go-to Mexican restaurant! It is located in a strip shopping center in Hampton, Georgia and larger inside than it appears from the exterior, but the first thing you notice after walking in are the incredible smells of the fantastic food! The restaurant is family run and the prices are absolutely unbeatable! When I first reviewed the menu, I was shocked by the affordability and was intrigued by many options so we decided to order several apps and entrees to try many things. The beers are about $3 each (unheard of!) and they have several Mexican selections. The margaritas are also cheap and so good! Fresh chips and salsa is one of my favorite treats in life and Los Michoacana has a great, and somewhat spicy, salsa! While the table was digging into the queso, I was very satisfied with the delicious salsa provided. For dinner I ordered the Mike's Special #58 and it was fantastic! The ground meat was cooked very well and had the perfect amount of seasoning. The chili rellano was a highlight for me as was the delicious simplicity of the taco. The tamale husk was perfection, but the chicken inside was a tad dry. I would 100% order this again but inquire about another meat option inside the tamale. The Mike Special offered a ton of flavor and so much variety! Our dining mates at the table also ordered the steak fajitas, nachos, and El Pastor. I had the pleasure of taking a bite of the El Pastor and I would say it is definitely something to order! The meat was very tender and was a generous portion. We ordered the extra spicy sauce that is not for the faint of heart! It is quite hot and packed with spice! If you are looking for a great meal for a very affordable price, please consider visiting Los Michoacana in Hampton. We visit every time we are in the area and I cannot wait to go back!

Hampton is one small yet widespread town but for what it's worth, to be near the speedway is pretty cool and to also be 30 minutes from Trillith is just as cool too. I met up with a friend and this place was legitimately the closest to where they were staying before they headed out so we had to hang and food was the agenda so we chose this place. Upon entry, it's an unassuming little diner style joint with a tiny bar and a decently sized well lit dining area. The service was as great as it ought to be expected. Our server was prompt, professional, friendly, courteous, and checked on us regularly! Now let's talk food. The menu is quite large so that might be something that might take some time in perusing but I took a quick glance and saw the most satiating thing on the menu as far as I was concerned which was their Monster burrito. The Monster burrito comes with your choice of protein, rice, beans, mild or hot salsa, diced tomatos on top, followed sour cream, and cheese. They also have something called the "Texas" style which is a combination of steak, chicken, and shrimp but I opted for all steak. Let me just say that this burrito is huge! It is huge and wet as they drown the burrito in the salsa, top it with cheese and sour cream. The flavor was mainly packed in the meat. The rice didn't have much but acted more as a filler as it was the salsa, meat, and cheese that provided that whirlwind of flavor. Wish there was a balance to everything as the salsa did overpower the burrito a bit more overall, this was a legit burrito. At $15.50 plus tax and tip it is well worth the price you pay compared to a Chipotle or a Moe's. Worth trying if you're in the Hampton area
